Birthday Grams: Recap

As you all know my 23rd birthday was on April 5th. I had a fabulous day and weekend as well. I didn’t  plan anything too crazy, I just wanted to spend time with the people I love and do things that I enjoy. Everything went according to plan and I couldn’t have been happier. It was one of those weekends where you just went with the flow, no worries just fun. I will be sharing more pictures with you all of my weekend but here are some Bday-grams in the meantime.
My first time getting a Gel Mani, loved it!
My nails still look like this btw.
Started the day at the spa for some much needed R&R.
Birthday lunch with two of my favorite people, Delitza and Damien.
Don’t we look like the most perfect lesbian family?
I love having a part time son (lol)
Off to see one of my favorite gals in concert, Alicia Keys.

The concert was amazing, love her.

Sunday Funday; Easter Edition

| Chambray Top: Old Navy | Mint Khakis: Gap | Shoes: JcPenney |
| Scarf: H&M | Purse: Rebecca Minkoff |

I hope you all had an amazing Easter Sunday! I spent the day with my family and we had a delicious lunch at Crab Shanty’s in City Island. Thank the lord its finally starting to get a little bit warmer, I thought I was going to have to wear my Ugg’s for my birthday this year. I cannot believe it’s April first already, my birthday is in four days. Ahh, I’m super excited! Can’t wait to spend the day with the people I love watching Alicia Keys in concert.
Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed your Easter Sunday as much as I did. I’ve been having these mint khakis in my closet for a while and it was the perfect occasion to finally wear them. Don’t be afraid to wear a little pastel this spring. Add a chambray top to keep it neutral and some print shoes for fun. Throw in a light scarf with pastel colors in the same family as your pants and werk it!
Thanks for stopping by!

Dark & Lovely Au Naturale Launch

February 20th, I had the pleasure of helping Dark & Lovely launch their new Au Naturale collection with a Curl Celebration at Arena here in New York City. The launch was hosted by Grammy nominated singer Marsha Ambrosius and best selling author and curl advocator Curly Nikki. Curly girl and DJ, Amanda Seales aka Amanda Diva of VH1 had the crowd going crazy with her amazing setlist.
The entire night was a celebration indeed with passed hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, curl conversations, photos, free samples and expert tips. The room was filled with all kinds of hair naturalists, happy to be in the presence of other empowering women.
I was one of three brand ambassadors along with four other lovely ladies who were hair models. Different products from the new Au Naturale collection were used to style our hair. The Curl Defining Créme Glaze gave my hair great definition and and a frizz-free crunchless hold. I love BIG hair, so one of the Dark & Lovely hairstylist on hand teased my roots to give me Diana Ross approved sexy hair. Check out some pictures of my amazing night below!
